English and Maths are the essential qualifications you need in life, whether you would like to improve your employment opportunities, gain that promotion or study at a higher level.

Boston College offers a range of courses to help you brush up on these important key skills. From Functional Skills to GCSEs, there will be a level to suit you, and if you do not hold a current 'C' grade in English and Maths, the course could be FREE.

Our FREE Digital Skills courses are for adults who don’t have the basic digital skills they need for life and work.

Before starting your Functional Skills or GCSE course at College, why not get ahead and familiarise yourself with the topics you'll be studying by enrolling on a OpenLearn course with the Open University. The courses are FREE, you can work at your own pace and there are starting dates throughout the year.

Access to Higher Education

Your passport to a University Level course - in less than a year!

Boston College's Access to Higher Education courses are designed predominantly for adults wanting to study University Level courses, but who do not have the traditional entry requirements.

With hard work, planning and determination, the Access to Higher Education courses could change your life!

University Level courses

Boston College offers you the opportunity to study a University Level course right on your door step, with a range of HNC, HND, Foundation Degree and Degree courses at a fraction of the cost of going to university.

You will only need to attend College for two days a week, and tuition fee loans are available, which means no upfront fees.

Employment and Skills Training

Are you unemployed and would like to get back into work? We can help you!

If you are unsure about what to do next or losing confidence in your abilities, the Boston College Employability Support team can help you get back into work. The dedicated team of advisers and tutors have extensive experience of working with the unemployed, and understand that everyone has different needs and goals.

The College also offer a range of FREE courses for those in receipt of work related benefits, to help develop new skills and build confidence.

Distance Learning

Boston College's Distance Learning courses allow you the flexibility to study wherever you are, arranging your studies around your work and family life. The courses provide you with a convenient way to gain or develop existing skills without attending College full time.

Adult Bite Size

If you would like to explore your interests, try something new or just want to meet new people and have fun Boston College offers a wide and varied range of Adult Bite Size courses.

The Adult Bite Size courses are fun practical non-accredited courses, which can run from a couple of hours during a single day to a few sessions over a number of weeks. The courses cost no more than £60, with some being FREE.

Some of the Adult Bite Size courses are funded by the Lincolnshire County Council - for more information, please read their 'Learner Handbook'.

Part time Technical Courses

If you are thinking of having a career change or just want to learn a new skill, Boston College offer a range of part time technical courses. The courses available vary in level, and typically take between one to two years to complete. With many running for less than 16 hours a week, you can fit them around your current family and work commitments.
